
Securing Sustainability and Growth in a Large Milling Company
Our Goal
We were approached by a large milling company in Canada. The client was keen to provide a Leadership Development Coaching Program to develop the leadership skills of their second level leaders to support future growth and sustainability. They wanted a solution that would be highly interactive, relevant and practical for their people.


Our Solution
We had four elements to our solution. Firstly, we had sessions with the executive team at the beginning, middle and end of the program to get aligned, discuss progress and priorities and evaluate success. We launched our integrated program for the cohort of 12 Level 2 leaders in the organization. It included 9 interactive monthly half-day coaching workshops with monthly 1:1 coaching calls, along with post workshop resources and unlimited laser calls between sessions. Each workshop had a specific focus such as: “developing your people”; whereas the 1:1 coaching sessions and laser calls allowed the clients to address personal areas of development with their coach. We collaborated with our client along the way to bring in highly relevant examples and topics and we shared the progress and results through monthly usage reports, workshop evaluations and formal reports.
Our Results
The leadership development program was very successful. In our final survey,100% of the leaders reported they were satisfied with the program. Beyond satisfaction, all participants reported that our coaching work also supported them to gain new insight and learning, and to explore new strategies and tools for their leadership. 100% of the leaders would also recommend continuing to offer coaching. We were also pleased to learn that coaching had a significant impact for all participants across these key areas: influence and impact, communication skills, leading people, change management, relationship building and satisfaction with their own organization.
